Grey Haven and Nutcake

I have been painting lately.  We are painting and repairing our house and I thought that I would share pictures of our progress with you all.  We had a room that was this purple and we painted it grey.  Hence the name, 'Grey Haven'.  You see, it was Sandy's bedroom, but it is now becoming Mom's office/retreat/etc. so we needed a new name for it.  But none of the names that I could come up with sounded right.  Then Mom said that we would call it 'The Haven'.  Then I remembered that we were painting it grey..............and I couldn't resist it!!  So it is now, the 'Grey Haven'.  Here are before and after pictures.

Before

The walls look a bit smudged because we had to repair holes.

That big patch of white is were there was a hole in the wall that we had to patch.

After

I am rather short so I couldn't reach up as high with the roller.

Mom is taller so she could reach higher.

I forgot that the wall had wet paint on it.........

By now you all are probably wondering what this has to do with Nutcakes.  Well I am talking about human nutcakes.  So a few days ago, Mom found this site where you can find out what was the #1 song or movie when you were born.  I did not recognize that movie or song when I was born, but when Mom reached one of my younger brothers birthday (it was the movie)..................I shrieked (a loud shriek) and I was jumping up and down clapping my hands.......IT WAS 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King'!!!!!!  I was SO excited!!!  Mom and Mel (who was sitting across the room) rolled there eyes, but I didn't care!  It was SO cool!!!  And now some of you are probably shaking your heads too!!
