Not Every Girls Prince.......

Not every girls Prince is from Disney:

Absolutely!!!!  Example:  (My Princes)

The Prince of Mirkwood

"I have not the heart to tell you. For me the grief is still too near." ~Legolas:

Orlando Bloom's best role he's ever played. And just in a matter of weeks....he will be resurfaced. This nerd is all a dither.:

The Prince of Erebor

I really liked this scene, because you can see the innocence of Kili and Fili. When you're young you joke about things you shouldn't and you don't know why you shouldn't, you just know that you don't want to disappoint your heroes.:

He might as well be an elf....i mean he's like the only one who does archery, everyone else has like a sword or something.:

The Prince of Ithilien

Faramir (by David Wenham)- Easily my favorite character in the books, and I feel that David Wenham did the character justice!:

But I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend. - Faramir:

Has anyone noticed anything similar about these three?

Thank you, Mr. Tolkien!

I decided to join Hamlette's annual 'A Tolkien Blog Party of Special Magnificence' (I found out about it through Olivia).  So here are my answers to the questions.

1.  What draws you to Tolkien's stories?  (The characters, the quests, the themes, the worlds, etc.)
I don't really know.  There is something that really draws me to them, but it is one of those things that I can't really put into words.  I have a hard time putting my thoughts and feelings into words sometimes.  Maybe it's the beauty.  Or the Hope.

2.  What was the first Middle Earth book you read and/or movie you saw?  What did you think of it?
Movie?  Fellowship of the Ring (theatrical).  I saw the movies before I read the books.  Book? Fellowship of the Ring!  I was enthralled from the first moment!!  It was really hard for me to put the book down!

3.  Name three of your favorite characters and tell us why you like them.
Faramir.  The Nobility and Honour of him.  The fact that he...ugh.  I just can't think of the right words!!!!

Faramir~ Faramir!! Captain of Gondor!:

Sam!!  Even  when others give up, Sam never does!!!  Sam is the true meaning of a best friend.

Samwise~ My Favorite Hobbit. Nobody can beat Sam.:

Kili.  He is just awesome!!  You don't get much of Kili in the books, well at least not as much as in the movies.  So I think that most of my love for Kili comes from Aiden Turner's portrayal of him.  Some of my favorite things about him: He is an Archer, He is 'tall', dark and handsome, and I think that a lot of it might be that Aiden is Irish.  There is a song that says, "When Irish eyes are smiling, sure they steal your heart away."  I have found that to be only too true.  *smiles guiltily*

Kili:

4.  Are there any secondary characters you think deserve more attention?
I would have liked to see more of Haldir, and NOT the way that PJ brought in more of him!!!!

Lord of the Rings~ This hurts, but is also amazing.:

5.  What Middle Earth character do you relate to the most?
Well I have come out in tests as, Frodo, Galadriel, Legolas, Gimil and a mixture of the Witch-king and Frodo(I was NOT flattered by that result!).  But I think that I most relate to Sam or Gimli.

6.  If you could ask Professor Tolkien one Middle Earth-related question, what would you like to ask him?
Well off the top of my head, 'How many children exactly did Aragorn and Arwen have?'

7.  Are there any pieces of Middle Earth merchandise you would particularly like to own, but don't?
Arwen's necklace, Taruiel's necklace and Kili's rune stone.

8.  What battle would you absolutely not want to be part of?
When the Morgul forces take Osgiliath.

9.  Would you rather eat a meal at the Rivendell or Bag End?
   Rivendell.

10.  List up to ten of your favorite lines/quotes from the books or movies.

“Aragorn threw back his cloak. The elven-sheath glittered as he grasped it, and the bright blade of Anduril shone like a sudden flame as he swept it out. 'Elendil!' he cried. 'I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and am called Elessar, the Elfstone, Dunadan, the heir of Isildur Elendil's son of Gondor. Here is the Sword that was Broken and is reforged again! Will you aid me or thwart me? Choose swiftly!”:

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." ~Lord Of The Rings #quotes http://www.mindmovies.com/?16059:

Farewell, Master Burglar :'(:

The Fellowship Of The Ring. #CueTears:

 :

Faramir:

Lord of the Rings // Hardir - "An alliance once existed between Elves and Men. We come to honour that allegiance.":

Battle of the Five Armies:

Hobbits~ This is one of the best scenes with the Hobbits!!:

This is my all time favorite quote of Pippin's.

Pippin~ This is my favorite Pippin quote.:

"Then he is a rale gintleman, sir, and mighty obliged I feel to him, for I have had enough of English prisons, though indeed, it was only three or four days that I stopped at Harwich."

"It is a grievous list, worshipful sir; but mark you, as soon as you showed your warrant and declared yourself I gave way to you. I only resisted so long as it seemed to me you were evildoers breaking into a peaceful house."

"I do declare, Sammy, you're right!" he cried. "It does look like a boat, for a fact, an' the surprisin' part of it is that you hit so near the truth! It ain't often you can make out the difference betwixt a ship an' a seal."
The Light Keepers by James Otis

Mrs. Blythe, half-way up the stairs, heard Mary's surprised cry, "Oh, Phil!" and nodded sagely to herself. "He's come instead of writing, just as I thought he would. Wise man!"

The Carl lifted him then and put him sitting into his ship. Then he raised his big boot and gave the boat a kick that drove it seven leagues out into the sea, and that was how the adventure of Cael of the Iron finished.
"Who are you, sir?" said Fionn to the Carl.
But before answering the Carl's shape changed into one of splendour and delight.
"I am ruler of the Shi' of Rath Cruachan," he said.
Then Fionn mac Uail made a feast and a banquet for the jovial god, and with that the tale is ended of the King of Thessaly's son and the Carl of the Drab Coat.

'Her mother was a Rutherford.  The family came over on the ark, and were connected by marriage with Henry the VIII.  On her father's side they date back further then Adam.  On the topmost branches of her family tree there's a superior breed of munkeys, with very silky hair and extra long tails.'

'Betsy and I walked as far as the baseball field in the course of the evening, and caught a glimpse of the orgies.  The braves were squatting in a circle about a big fire, each decorated with a blanket from his bed and a rakish band of feathers.  (Our chickens seem very scant as to tail, but I have asked no unpleasant questions.)  The doctor, with a Navajo blanket about his shoulders, was executing a war dance, while Jimmy and Mr. Witherspoon beat on war drums--two of our copper kettles, now permanently dented.  Fancy Sandy!  It's the first youthful glimmer I have ever caught in the man!'

The chaps, however, were up in the white-house kitchen, where were also the reek of scorched hair and the laughing expostulations of the Little Doctor and the boyish titter of Pink and Irish, who were curling laboriously the chaps of Miguel with the curling tongs of the Little Doctor and those of the Countess besides.

A Drawing

Sometimes I randomly doodle.  Especially when I am supposed to be writing/drawing something else.  These are a few pictures of something that I doodled when I was thinking about what to write next (I was writing a story for a challenge).

First look.

Second look.

Mint Delight and National Cheese Pizza Day

First the Mint Delight.  I love icebox cake and I had a hankering for Spearmint and we needed a dessert to eat while we watched a drama, so I decided to make an icebox cake!  I used Whipping Cream, Chocolate Graham Crackers, Spearmint Extract and Milk Chocolate.

Doesn't it look delicious?

Last Saturday also happened to be National Cheese Pizza Day.  So we made Cheese pizza.

The Sauce.  Homemade of course.

Parmesan Cheese. (in the jar)

Mozzarella.

Monterey Jack.

Cheddar.

Swiss.
Feta.

Provolone.  It was deli sliced so I just cut it into strips.

The finished object.  And a very yummy one, too!

Pictures

I like taking pictures and I though that I would share some with you.

Close your eye, place this picture in the moonlight.  Can you see the fairies sitting on the flowers?
Fairy Meadow.
 And these are their mountains.
Fairy Mountains.

I know.  I'm crazy.

Rocks and a flower that I have no idea what kind it is!

Tansy against the house.

Clouds at a gorgeous sunset.

The afore mentioned sunset.

Turtle pestering me when I was taking pictures.

Sedum and Wasp.  I was taking a picture of the Sedum when the Wasp landed on it.
