*Note: Mel and I are reading LOTR out loud to Fred, Sam and Jill.  We have divided the characters and Mel also narrates.

  1. I did my Narnia read/reread last year (Dad read them twice to us, and then I read a few, but not all on my own later). I have the Fellowship by my bed. I need to start that in time for Hamlette's Tolkien blog party. I haven't read the trilogy since the first time I read it over a decade ago.

    1. Melody read Narnia out loud to the kids and I this year, and then I re-read them after watching the movies.

We are in The Two Towers now and I had forgotten how sleepy Treebeard can make you! Especially when someone else is reading him out loud and you are just listening!

  2. AHHHHH YESSS THE CHILDREN OF HÚRIN. And FotR!! The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was also good too :)

    1. The Children of Hurin has got to be one of the most tragic stories I have ever read. ('Cause I haven't read Romeo and Juliet) ;)

  3. Oh! A Wrinkle in Time!! I only read the first two, but they were great!!!
